The "Inspire" Seminar Series was developed by Enventure to help students learn about the reality of working in the biotech and biomedical fields. The series consists of a number of events starring guest speakers coming from different areas in the biotech and biomedical industries.
This particular event will star Enrique Gomez. Enrique is an expert in the Bio-pharmaceutical industry with 25 years of experience in the industry. He has served under Bristol Myers Squibb, Shire Pharmaceuticals, and Takeda Pharmaceuticals in the operations, manufacturing and commercialization of life saving therapeutic products. He has established strategic direction and priorities to transform the business by building key capabilities across global markets. Recently, he relocated to Houston to join Texas Medical Center Innovation, embedded within the largest medical city in the world, where he provides his expertise to investigators and biotech executives as the Entrepreneur in Residence for the Accelerator for Cancer Therapeutics. Enrique holds an industrial engineering undergrad and a grad degree in Manufacturing Systems and Technology from Instituto Tecnologico de Monterrey.
Participants attending this event will learn about the story of Enrique and his experiences from transitioning into the field, his experiences and his current role. In addition, there will be a final Q&A where the audience will be able to ask direct questions to Enrique.
