In 2022, Enventure struck a partnership with the Nucleate chapter in Houston to combine their accelerator programs and launch the Activator program.
Enventure's BioVentures program was a 10-week, hands-on immersion into life science entrepreneurship, where teams turn an idea into a business.
Joining in from Rice, BCM, UTMB, Lamar, UT Health, TAMU, UH, MD Anderson and others, BioVentures alumni have developed 12 companies in the program and have founded 5 other companies after participation. Prior areas of focus include diagnostics, therapeutics, medical devices, and direct-to-consumer life science products. Collectively alumni have raised $5M+ and have participated in incubators/accelerators including Y Combinator, Mass Challenge, Station Houston, JLABS, and TMCx.
The Activator will build on the BioVentures program and provide access to resources and opportunities on a global scale. Participants in the program can either choose to be innovators that want to turn their ideas and research into innovative startup companies or choose to take on the business/clinical aspects of the startup team as a co-founder. We equip advanced degree candidates with visions for solutions in life science by matching them with business leaders, clinicians, and industry advisors to develop their go-to-market strategy, build an investable pitch deck, and bring those visions to life through a series of expert-guided workshops.
Applications for the Activator program will open on August 1st, 2022.
